Champagne Taste on a Carib Beer Budget
I started a food blog on not cooking Ramen, essentially how my stomach is surviving medical school.
This is a bad picture but let me explain. I was just looking for BBQ chicken after running the hash. We were told there was a street party for Independence Day with cheap food and drinks. Little did I know, there was no BBQ chicken. Instead, I found cooked iguana, turtle, armadillo and “wild fowl” aka chicken feet. I couldn’t understand what the lady was saying until she lifted up the metal cover and I could see the iguana scales on the iguana stew, as well as the chopped up armadillo shell.
I’m pretty open to trying new things. But really, I just wanted a BBQ chicken today.

Sorry Grenada, this was not magical nor scrumpdelicious.
